Net Zero Home Guide

A brighter solution for a brighter future

What is a

Net-Zero Energy Home?

Net-Zero energy homes are homes that are designed to produce more energy than it consumes. This energy can come from solar power and other renewable energy sources, reducing and even sometimes eliminating the need for grid produced power. Net-zero homes are sustainable and help save homeowners money on utilities, as well as saves the environment by using little to no non-renewable energy.

Benefits Of

Going Solar

If you’re considering a green home, you may have asked yourself this question. While you shouldn’t automatically believe the sales pitches you hear from solar panel companies (they want to make money!), the answer is yes: Solar panels are a solid long-term investment.

Now, how much you benet from solar energy depends on a variety of factors, such as your location, your electricity prices, and how you pay for the solar panels. For instance, nancing solar energy panels could mean interest fees cutting into your utility savings.

In this article, we’ll go beyond the buzzwords and hype and look at what the math says. Through that analysis, you’ll see the return on investment solar panels can provide you. This will allow you to clearly see whether solar
panels are worth it.

Pros and Cons of Net-Zero Energy Homes

Reduced energy bills: Net-zero homes produce as much as energy as they use, which significantly reduces (or eliminates) monthly energy bills.
Affordable: EcoSun homes are affordable while providing all the benefits of a traditional home.
Helps the environment: Net-zero homes primarily use renewable energy sources, allowing you to reduce your carbon footprint while also saving money.
Improved air quality
: High-quality air filtration continuously provides fresh, clean air throughout your home.
Limited availability: Net-zero homes are not as common as traditional homes so they might be difficult to build or find in less populous areas.
Finding expert contractors: Conduct thorough research to find contractors that are experts in working with net-zero homes.

How Solar Panels
Work in EcoSun Homes ?

Sunlight falls on high-capacity solar Panels during daylight hours.

The solar panels convert the sun’s energy into Direct Current (DC) electricity, which is sent to an inverter.

The inverter converts the Direct Current into Alternating Current (AC) electricity.

This is sometimes called “Conditioning” the power.

When the solar energy system produces more electricity than is needed during peak sun hours, excess electricity is automatically sent to the Utility Company, and the electric meter runs backward.

Solar energy systems produce very high-quality electricity than reduce the chance of power fluctuations that could damage electronic equipment.

Utility power is continuously provided at night and during the day when demand exceeds solar production.
